Fifty Years on Both Sides of the Desk

The story behind P. Saldamarco, LLC -- and why it started as a business owner's practice, not a lender's.

Peter Saldamarco

Peter Saldamarco has spent over five decades building and financing businesses in Connecticut -- first as an owner, and as most recently, an advisor. That order matters. Before he ever structured a loan for someone else, he met a payroll, negotiated with banks, and made the kind of decisions that keep an owner up at night.

He owned and ran a commercial and residential mortgage company, giving him a lender's understanding of underwriting, risk, and what actually gets a deal to the closing table. He also owned and operated an auto auction moving close to ten thousand vehicles a year -- a business that demanded the same discipline around cash flow, timing, and inventory financing that his clients face today.

Beyond those two ventures, Peter has been a serial entrepreneur and real estate investor, which means he has been the borrower as often as he has been the one arranging the financing. He knows what a bank looks for, what a bank gets wrong, and what a borrower needs to hear before -- not after -- a decision is made.

Peter brings that full-circle experience to every client: restaurant owners refinancing before a balloon payment is due, automotive dealers moving quickly on a unique opportunity, and business owners/real estate investors of every kind who want a second, seasoned perspective before they commit to a financing structure.
